After a surprise tour of El Gomhoureya Street that found it crowded with encroachments, the Governor of Alexandria relieved the head of El Amreya I District of the post. The reports do not name the head.
An immediate campaign followed, with the utilities police and the El Amreya I police station, to clear the encroachments and unlicensed stalls.
